A roof tile is a molded or pressed tile made of clay, concrete, or metal that is aligned in rows to tile batterns and is lapped at the sides and ends in order to provide tight weather protections to the exterior surface of fascia and roof structures. For licensing purposes the phrase “roof tiling” does not include shingles, roofing slates, shakes or imitation shakes, shingles, or slates but is the fixing of roof tiles to the exterior of fascia and roof structures.
The process of roof tiling is basically the replacing of existing tiles or the laying of new tiles onto the roof. Using roof tiles is beneficial in that they are cost efficient, available in various colors, very durable, low maintenance, easy to replace when damaged, and offer great insulation.
